Migrate your AMMOcoin v1.0 holdings to the new v1.1.0 network. This is a complete network upgrade with enhanced security, privacy features, and improved performance.
This is NOT a simple update. AMMOcoin v1.1.0 is a completely new network based on PIVX 5.x (upgraded from PIVX 3.x). Your v1.0 coins will NOT automatically transfer.
Migration Deadline: 90 days from network launch (date TBD)
Before doing anything else, create a backup of your v1.0 wallet.dat file and store it in multiple safe locations (external drive, encrypted cloud storage, etc.).
Without your v1.0 wallet backup, you cannot prove ownership of your coins and will lose access to your holdings.
Choose your platform and follow the appropriate installation guide:
Pre-built binaries available - Fastest and easiest option

📖 Ubuntu 18.04 Specific GuideRecommendation: Upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04 LTS before migrating for easier setup
Build via WSL2 required - Uses Windows Subsystem for Linux
📖 Windows Build Guide (WSL2)ARM64 optimized build - Special configuration for Pi (60-120 minute build time)
📖 Raspberry Pi Build GuideCopy your v1.0 wallet.dat to the v1.1.0 data directory and start the daemon. Your v1.0 addresses will be available in the v1.1.0 wallet.
Note: The balance shown is from v1.0. You don't have these coins on the v1.1.0 network yet - you must claim them in the next step.
Create a new receiving address in your v1.1.0 wallet:
ammocoin-cli getnewaddress "Migrated from v1.0"
Save this address! This is where your migrated coins will be sent.
Prove ownership of your v1.0 address by signing a message:
ammocoin-cli signmessage "YOUR_V1.0_ADDRESS" "I am migrating to AMMOcoin v1.1.0"
This creates a cryptographic signature that proves you control the private key, without revealing it.
Submit your migration claim via:
Include in your claim:
Migration claims are processed within 24-48 hours. Your coins will be sent to your v1.1.0 address from the migration fund.
Monitor your balance:
ammocoin-cli getbalance
v1.1.0 network goes live. Migration window begins.
Top 61 holders (94.11% of supply) receive automated distributions to their v1.1.0 addresses.
All other holders (10,019 addresses, 5.89% of supply) can submit migration claims. Processed within 24-48 hours.
Final day to submit migration claims. After this date, unclaimed funds are returned to community treasury.
A: No. v1.0 and v1.1.0 are completely separate networks. You must migrate your holdings by following the process above.
A: Unclaimed funds will be returned to the community treasury. You will lose access to your v1.0 holdings on the v1.1.0 network.
A: We recommend upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04 LTS first for easier setup. If you must stay on 18.04, follow the Ubuntu 18.04 Specific Guide.
A: Yes, but they use the same default data directory (~/.ammocoin). Rename your v1.0 directory to ~/.ammocoin-v1.0 first, then create a new ~/.ammocoin for v1.1.0.
A: Depends on your system: Linux (20-40 min), Windows/WSL2 (30-60 min), Raspberry Pi (60-120 min). macOS users can use pre-built binaries (5-10 min install).
A: No. Without your v1.0 wallet.dat file, you cannot prove ownership of your addresses and cannot migrate your funds.
A: No. Migration is free. You only pay standard network transaction fees when you later send coins on the v1.1.0 network.
A: You need to submit a separate migration claim for each v1.0 address that holds coins. Or, you can consolidate to a single v1.1.0 receiving address.
